Drinking and partying while entertaining can also be very self-destructive, especially when performed in an evasion mechanism to avoid dealing with the reality of college life and responsibilities. Doing these things will certainly not help you feel at peace with yourself. It lowers your self esteem because you know basically you are not satisfied with what you do and are unable to take control of the situation you face. This not only affects your relationship with yourself, but your relationship with your family and friends. In college, I had to learn a new lifestyle without any real preparation.

Yes, my parents instilled in me my values and gave me advice as they could. I just wanted him there was a sort of guide that would have made things easier! I had to make a decision and change some of my priorities in order to survive the last years of college. Fortunately for me I had a new roommate in my second year and then one day I meditate. She seemed to be able to go through life as if it was a breeze. She seemed not to deal with exams and deadlines for projects. It was fantastic.
